You’ll need an instrument, an amplifier and a cable:
Believe it or not, you the Fender Jazz Bass can play any type of music ;). First introduced in 1960 as the “Deluxe Model”, it borrowed design elements from the another Fender instrument, the Jazzmaster guitar. It was renamed the Jazz Bass as Leo Fender felt that its redesigned neck—narrower and more rounded than that of the Precision Bass—would appeal more to jazz musicians.
The Jazz Bass body style and neck make for easier playing when starting out. This Squier version of the OG Jazz is a fantastic sounding and playing instrument all around. I actually own the “70’s vibe” model and use it as my main gigging bass. Doesn’t hurt that it is good lookin’ too!
